Happy Belated Christmas Present for Daddy

Joel and Ethaniel did not find the right item to purchase for their Dad during Christmas. I didn't realise that he has been observant towards his Dad's needs. He obviously wanted it to be special because it took him a few months before he decided to purchase the item. He didn't want to just buy, 'anything'. I thought that was really thoughtful of him. He purchased something very thoughtful for me too. Something I liked. Anyway, this post is about his present for Dad.

Joel had convinced Ethaniel to share the cost of the item 50/50. It was about THB1,100 (RM110 / USD32). They were going to use their savings.

A backpack which Dad will use everyday to put his laptop and take to work

Dad was happy to receive the belated Christmas gift

I told Joel that he should be so grateful for his Dad. When I was growing up, I had a non-participative Dad, never around and never received birthday or Christmas presents. Till today.

Yes, indeed he is grateful. So my sons are practicing the "Five Languages of Love" even without going for the seminar.

Belated Christmas Presents

Joel and Ethaniel have just received their Christmas presents yesterday. After dinner, we went to purchase their Christmas presents.

This is their only Christmas presents for this year other than some chocolates from Grandma Chia Chia. She brought them when she visited in Dec 07. They are still enjoying it, bit by bit everyday. They absolutely loves chocolate!!! So knowing that, my Mother bought them chocolates worth RM100 (B1,000). They have been consuming it everyday after meals.

Oh, my sister Lee Lian did send some money too. Not sure if they are going to save it up or purchase something. But for now, they are contented playing with their newly purchased toys.

Christmas

Christmas is a few days from now. Every year its always spent in church, whilst we were in Malaysia.

Last year, being our 1st year out of Malaysia, we had a Christmas eve celebration in church and went to Heather's house for Christmas lunch.

This year is different because Joel and I have decided that we will not put up the Christmas tree or have an elaborated Christmas. Both of us absolutely love Christmas! He because of the presents and I because of the glitter and Christmas songs.... It always gives me a wonderful feeling!

I have heard a message on the origins of Christmas tree and that it has nothing to do with Christ, Christians or the message of Christ. Anyway, we will still celebrate Christmas to remember that Jesus Christ came to earth to die for our sins because He absolutely loves me!

So, Blessed Christmas to you too.
